Mac - From version 3.2.0 Build1212, time machine is supported. This didn't work for me (although it seems it has more to do with my MacBook Pro networking configuration), but the alternate instructions in the wiki did work).
I host my site on dreamhost. I used rsync, or more specifically, rsnapshot to backup to my Linux host. As I don't have one any more, I wanted to reproduce this functionality.
Luckly this was allready documented by crushdepth.
